Tealicious Thanks

I was excited to give myself a new challenge using my new Cameo and of course, Lori Whitlock helped provide not only a beautiful SVG design, but a challenge as well.
Here's her blog and the details...

I needed 5 thank you cards with a TEA theme  and this one was perfect! I used card stock from  Bazzill and the English print is from The Best Of Brenda Walton collection. I loved the print since it reminded me of the great Tea room  my friends took me to for a birthday lunch. The cup is  embossed using Teresa Collins new E Bosser and floral pattern folder and the saucer is a Sizzix embossed folder. The Bling is from Want 2 Scrap.
I added a small packet of tea and a group photo on the back of the card.

Barbie Birthday Party

Kiwi Lane Designs ran a quickie SKETCH Challenge and since I am so far behind on my Grand daughters scrapbooks, this was a perfect one  to get me going! I guess the word "Basic" made me do it!
My Grand daughter Ava had a very special day with the Moms, & Grandmas (NO BOYS ALLOWED) at the Barbie House Experience at Sawgrass in Broward County.
To say that the Barbie house was ALL in a nauseating HOT PINK color would be putting it mildly.....even the piano was Pink.   At first, it was pretty and then it seemed like I never wanted to see PINK again! Therefore, I decided to do the lay out in the same bright, hot pink to the extreme! To really challenge myself, I used my new Silhouette Cameo to color and cut the title (3 tries later it worked!.......hey, I am still learning)
I loved the Face Book challenge layout  (here's the link) facebook.com/kiwilane
and it really went together quickly using one of my favorite templates for the bottom border STORYBROOK LANE # 1A, 2B, 3A.
For the top and side embellishments, I used TINY TAGS,  1 T. The card stock was from the Haute Couture Collection by DCWV.
I have about 15 more photos to put on a lay out, so I will submit this double page one first and off to create I go!

Happy Easter Card

Close Up of Bunny Embossed Swirls
 Close Up of Title
 Gift Box For Card

There's a first time for everything and this was my 1ST. Silhouette project ! I was very excited to get my new  machine and my dear friend Nana helped me get through a few minor set up issues. She is THE BEST!!!!!

I created this card for the challenge at Nana's blog silhouettechallenges which requires FAUX STITCHING. Easy Peasy!!

I did not like the flower pot just created out of paper, so I added a more 3D effect with silk flowers. The bunny also needed some pizazz so I embossed him with my Teresa Collins  E Bosser using a swirl pattern. The yellow  background of the card has a chicken wire design....perfect for a bunny on the run!
I created  a small box to present it in since it didn't fit in an envelope.
Hope you like it!
I'm on my way to the Silhouette store to buy lots more images!

KLD Blog Hop

February is such a great month to be able to express my  LOVE for so many wonderful things in my life.
I was thrilled to be asked to submit a lay out for Kiwi Lane  using their Designer Templates!!
I am crazy about their easy peasy template framing and working with the Clara Lane Templates  on this lay out was LOVE at first sight!
I LOVE our Yorkie Peaches so I decided to create an I LOVE YOU page with her as the focal point. Her pink bow inspired me to go for the soft girly girl colors and the Clara Lane Templates  floral borders gave me just the softness needed for such a sweet face.
I used  the following items:
Clara Lane Template 1 B
Clara Lane Template 3 A
Clara Lane Template 3 B
Kiwi Lane Ring # 1
Bazzill Hot Pink  Textured Paper
Cricut Create A Critter Title (I Love You)
Want To Scrap Gem Circle
DCWV Preppy Princess Paper Stack
Cloud 9 Sentiment
Silk Flowers from my stash
The Rubber Cafe Pink Jelly dots
The lay out took me almost no time at all since the templates are so easy to move around until you get just the right feel for how you want them placed. I inked the edges so the layers would be more distinct.
I do hope I have inspired you to get KIWI LANE CREATIVE in 2014...you'll LOVE it as much as I do, it's my secret addiction and NOT fattening........proof, even the templates are thin!!!!
If you are hopping along in order, then you should be coming from Charissa Miller.

Just a sneak peak of my newest way to store my KIWI LANE templates...cheap and easy to access. It's really a toilet paper holder and when I saw this idea on Pinterest, I loved it!!

  • Up next is the talented  Lissa Mitchell

In case you've hopped out of order here is a list of the blog hop line up.
  • The blog hop will run through 11:59 PM MST on Sunday FEBRUARY 9TH
  • A  random winner from ONE of the participating blogs (including the Kiwi Lane blog), will be given a $25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane Shop, for leaving a comment and will be announced on the Kiwi Lane blog on Thursday, FEBRUARY 13TH
